Shamrock Run & Parade on March 16, 2019

The Cottleville Firefighters Outreach created the Cottleville St. Patricks Day tradition eleven years ago and has supported the event as it grew to become the largest single-day event in St. Charles County. In 2019, the Cottleville St. Patricks Day tradition returns under our management and promises to be a day of fun and celebration for the whole family.

The event will begin with a morning 7k Run and Fun Walk. We start the race at the Cottleville Fire Station #1 and end a short distance from the firehouse in downtown Cottleville. We will have Shuttles running from the St. Charles Community College to downtown Cottleville until 7:30am. There is also a short paved walking trail from the College through legacy park that leads directly into downtown Cottleville. Runners who register before March will receive a commemorative long sleeve shirt in their size. All finishers over 21 years of age can also enjoy a complimentary beer at our finish line. Please follow the link below to register for the run. Not a runner? That’s okay! Put on your favorite shade of green and join as we cheer on our festive athletes!

When the last runner crosses the finish line the streets will open back up and our shuttles will run from the designated St. Charles Community College parking lots into downtown Cottleville and back to the College. The roads will close again at 11:30am before the Shamrock Parade starts at Noon. The parade will run for approximately an hour and half, and then the roads will open and shuttles will run again until 4pm. Parade registration is limited and applications can be found at the registration link below. Float restrictions and requirements can be found on the same link. Parade registration will be accepted January 1 - February 14.

We ask that all of our attendees be respectful of the town, our citizens, and our business community. Please clean up any trash that you generate and do not set popup tents or chairs in walking paths. Law Enforcement will be in the crowds enforcing local ordinances. Please make good decisions and be mindful of the many families that attend our event. Disorderly conduct will not be tolerated.
